Richard Rawlins was appointed as deputy director of the Counter-Terrorism Office on June 8, 2004 to coordinate the overall effort to deter, detect and prevent terrorist attacks in Ohio. Director Rawlins oversees the Strategic Analysis and Information Center and the Private Investigator and Security Guard Section.
Director Rawlins brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the area of intelligence and terrorism serving as a Special Agent-In-Charge for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in Chicago, San Francisco and Columbus. While working for the ATF, Director Rawlins specialized in issues relating to domestic terrorism, including supremacists, abortion clinic violence and unofficial militias.
Director Rawlins has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Otterbein College and is graduate of the Redstone Arsenal Hazardous Devices School.
